Livestream yoga classes was definitely not my first thought, when all yoga studios where locked down due to pandemic. I hadn't done any online yoga videos before, and frankly, I didn't like to do yoga in online either.
I love meeting people face to face so much and it makes yoga teaching special for me. We breathe and move, laugh and enjoy the practice in a shared room together. For me, teaching yoga is not a one-sided experience, but everyone who participate, create the energy of a class. I think the current situation has taught us how many things we take for granted. How much freedom we had to do whatever we wanted. Before we had the choice whether to go for a workout or not, now the only option is to stay home and give the best to maintain your physical and mental health. I feel live yoga classes are something that keep me healthy and live. There is something to expect every day - meetings with people who wave, send warm wishes, care and contribute. Even if there is a screen between us, it still feels like we are practicing together and creating the same good energy we have in an regular class. And no matter what my day has been like, after online class, my mind is light and my heart is full of gratitude. I hope you feel the same. So there is something to be grateful for during these times, including myself as a yoga teacher. Although I teach livestream classes, I have now time to do my own practice with best teachers around the world in livestream! So thank you for opening up all your practices and thumbs up for all yoga teachers who lost their classes, but now are doing livestreams! And donate, if you have food and roof over your head, because it may help somebody who struggles a lot. .
